Satao Camp takes you back to the classical Out of Africa safari
with green canvas tents, bush style showers and personal and
friendly service; evoking a feeling of the true ‘Old African’
experience.
Satao Camp is set underneath old Tamarind trees in front of a
waterhole frequented by wildlife that come for a drink and a
refreshing wash. Satao Camp offers safari accommodation in 20
classical canvas tents divided into 4 luxury suites for
honeymooners or guests who feel for a little extra luxury, 6
family tents and 10 standard tents. One of the tents at the
Satao Camp in Tsavo East is 1 constructed to accommodate
physically challenged guests.
The Satao Camp tents form a semicircle around the
waterhole; each tent is equipped with electricity
from the camp generator.
 
Satao Camp facilities include a dining room, reception, gift
shop and an observation tower overlooking the waterhole.
The restaurant is designed in the same unique
African style, with thatched roofs over looking the
vast lush grassland.
