2 Days Safari to Lake Nakuru and Lake Naivasha
This 2 days safari from Nairobi takes you to Lake Nakuru and
Naivasha in the Great Rift Valley, Kenya for bird and big game
watching. you have a chance to see four (4) of the Africa's Big
Five (lion, leopard, buffalo and rhino) among other big game.
Lake Nakuru is a world class bird watching safari destination
and fondly referred to as the bird watchers paradise. Lake
Naivasha is freshwater lake with a picturesque view of Mount
Long'onot, hippos, over 400 species of birds including pelicans,
African fish eagles, African darter, cormorants and the lesser
flamingos.
Safari itinerary
Day 1: Nairobi - Lake Nakuru
0800: Begin Safari from Nairobi to Lake Nakuru driving across
the Great Rift Valley, with Mount Long'onot in the background
and views of the enchanting Lake Naivasha, the highest and
purest of the Great Rift Valley lakes.
1030: Arrive Lake Nakuru National Park and begin safari game
drive as you drive toward your pre-booked safari accommodation
for lunch
1400: Short rest
1600: Evening safari game drive to explore Lake Nakuru and see
it's wildlife
1800: Return to your Lake Nakuru safari accommodation for dinner
and overnight
Day 2: Lake Nakuru - Lake Naivasha - Nairobi
0600 Early morning safari game drive in Lake Nakuru National
Park
0800: Breakfast then depart to Lake Naivasha with game viewing
en-route
1300: Lunch at the Lake Naivasha Sopa Lodge.
1400: Afternoon at leisure. Optional boat ride at Lake Naivasha
(at extra cost).
1600: Drive back to Nairobi arriving in time for diner at your
hotel
