2 Days Mombasa to Lamu Island Tour/Excursion by Air
Day 1: Mombasa - Lamu
You will be collected from your Mombasa hotel and transferred
to the airport for your flight to the airstrip on Manda island.
Met and transferred to Lamu by boat arriving at your
accommodation in time for lunch at the Lamu Palace Hotel or
similar. In the afternoon, you will start your first excursion
out of this unique14th Century town, to Takwa Ruins (which can
only be visited during high tide), before visiting Matondoni -
the traditional dhow making village in Lamu.
Day 2: Lamu - Mombasa
This morning you will awaken to the cheerful sounds of the
local fishermen, as the return form their night’s fishing,
docking their boats at the jetty, outside the hotel.
After a delicious breakfast, you will be escorted onto an Arab
style Lamu dhow, return for lunch, at the Palace Hotel. In the
afternoon, you will be transferred to Manda Island for your
flight to Mombasa/Malindi.
